• Jesus came into this world to show us (by being an example) how God wants us to live our lives in this world.  Jesus wants those who wish to follow him, to put away their worldly life; and to take on a humble, forgiving, loving, self sacrificing and compassionate life.

  

• Being baptized into Christ calls for people to change their hearts. Changing your heart to be more like Jesus, will give you peace and an eternal purpose; knowing that you are pleasing God.

 

Matthew, Chapter 4, Verse 23 - 24: And Jesus was going about in all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness among the people.  And the news about Him went out into all Syria; and they brought to Him all who were ill, taken with various diseases and pains, demoniac, epileptics, paralytic; and He healed them.

(Sample of Jesus' Wisdom: Matthew Chapter 5, Verses 43 - 48:  “You have heard that it was said, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR, AND HATE YOUR ENEMY.’  But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you in order that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven;

   

….  For if you love those who love you, what reward have you?  Do not even the tax-gatherers do the same?  . . . .  Therefore you are to be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect.")
